A proud native of Queens, New York, Dr. Harris refuses to accept the status quo in education. With over 22 years of experience, she’s on a mission to dismantle outdated systems and build smarter, more dynamic pathways for schools to thrive.
Before founding sharEDtalent, Dr. Harris spent 16 transformative years in the New York City Department of Education as a teacher, math staff developer, assistant principal, founding principal, and principal coach. These roles gave her a front-row seat to the systemic challenges holding schools back—and the courage to disrupt them.
Through sharEDtalent, Dr. Harris delivers bold solutions that empower school leaders to cut through red tape, mobilize the right resources, and accelerate impact. She is an expert in improvement strategy design, change management, and leadership development, with a sharp focus on leveraging networks and social capital to challenge norms and push boundaries.
Dr. Harris earned her bachelor's degree in Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, master’s degrees from Fordham University and Mercy College, and a Doctorate in Executive Leadership from St. John Fisher University.
